Work on our courses, quizzes, schools resources, or video scripts. Used by 10,000s to 1,000,000 people (depending on the product). You'll write and review original content, read lots, and have discussions about the content.

Degree in the field you write about or exceptional understanding of the field. Exceptional ability to communicate complex things concisely.

Human Resources Volunteer

Work at ClimateScience is intense. We're looking for someone who's highly empathetic and feels comfortable checking in on tens of people regularly to make sure that our remote work environment remains personal and caring, as well as productive. The scope of this role does not include recruiting or interviewing.

Requirements

Be kind. Some experience in HR is good. Be available for 12+ months (in theory; of course you could leave if you want to!). We don't know how much time this role will take but the majority of it will just be chatting with people.

Community Coordinator Volunteer (3-8h/week)

The ClimateScience National Community Outreach Teams collectively facilitate an international network of people, who are committed to raising awareness about the science of climate change and its solutions. Learn more at climatescience.org/community. As a Community Coordinator, you will do the following:

  • Recruit local representatives to aid you in your work.
  • Organize events like debates and the Olympiad.
  • Recruit and work with schools and universities to implement climate education.

Making animated education videos. Our YouTube is still tiny but they are also broadcasted on TV to 100,000s of people.

Requirements

Either know After Effects already or be willing to put in a ton of time to learn it quickly. We can help you learn it, but you'll need to do the work.

Illustrations for our courses , children's books, animated education videos, and educational Instragram. Together these resources reach 100,000s of learners. More about how the programme works can be found here.

Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator OR Photoshop OR similar software, creativity, an ability to adopt our style, and a keen interest in improving your skills and helping others do the same through shared feedback

Volunteer Translator (10h/week)

You’re reading this text. How cool would it be if everyone across the world could read it because it was in their language? Speaking English is a privilege. We want to enable everyone, regardless of the languages they speak, to be able to access and use ClimateScience content. For that to happen, we need you to help us translate it!

Requirements

You should be a native speaker for the language you are applying for and speak English fluently.

What's in for you

You help solve climate change, you make curious people happy, you work in a team of amazing people. Beyond your translations appearing on our webpage, they will be used by people across the world, for example in governments, schools and the media.
